Hi, I’m Amanda. I create content for brands with something more to say.
I’m a content strategist and copywriter. That means I work with companies & agencies to help brands sound like who they’re meant to be. I learn brands inside and out, establish voice and tone, then extend it across every touchpoint: from the biggest billboard headline to the finest fine print. And sometimes I tell jokes, because we all want to have a little more fun.
Clients include Spotify, Tinder, Roc Nation, and DoorDash. I work with agencies like Gander, RoAndCo, and Archrival. You can see some of that work here.
If you have a question about copy, I probably have an opinion. Send me an email if you want to chat.
Before this, I was the editorial director for Bon Appétit. My job was to figure out how a sixty-year-old brand should speak to its audience of Gen-Z digital natives, aging print subscribers, & everyone in between. It was incredible, challenging, and rewarding work.
A few years earlier, I launched a site called Healthyish. Our mission was to skip the aspirational wellness bullshit & have a little fun. (We had a lot of fun.) I wrote about my 30s, dating and not drinking, my favorite veggie burgers, skincare, glassware, & so much more. I still write when I get a juicy idea, like this piece on girlhood I did for Highsnobiety.
In fact, I began my career as a freelance journalist writing about wellness, mental health, fitness, and whatever else I got excited about. There was the time I followed a bikini competitor around Las Vegas & the time I followed a line cook around a Michelin-starred restaurant. Once I even hired a 21-year-old life coach.
Wow, you’re still reading. Okay, check out the photo of me below, floating in a thermal pool outside Rome. For Bon Appétit, I went on a “wellness cruise” through the Mediterranean. It rocked.
A few more facts since we’re here:
I was born in Oakland & raised in Connecticut on a steady diet of New Haven-style pizza. In another life, I’d be a fitness influencer. I love the NBA (Nets, baby). I hosted a weekly podcast called Food People. I have an MFA in Fiction from Columbia University. Yes, I am working on a novel. Yes, I live in Brooklyn.
